We stay on the farm in their upmarket Bunkhouse with rooms sleeping from 2 to 7. We have taken exclusive use of the accommodation which boasts a slab pathway to enter through double oak doors into a large tiled entrance area with room for outdoor clothes, recycling, drying room, cloakroom with washer and dryer. A large dining area, off which is the modern kitchen, fully equipped. Tea, sugar and loo paper etc . Underfloor heating, separate sitting room.

Sleeping up to 20 people in 5 different carpeted bedrooms/dormitories, including an en-suite room, plus 4 additional bathrooms. Rooming is allocated on a first come first served basis with rooming requests taken in to account wherever possible.

There are two options for the weekend both of which are great fun and offer great value for money.

Standard Option:

Included in the price of the weekend is a quick get to know your steed ride on the Saturday morning where your ability will be assessed to make sure that the Horse/Pony you have been given is suitable for you for the weekend. On Saturday afternoon we will be split in to groups (subject to numbers) and will go out in the beautiful countryside for a 1 1/2 hour + hack (ride out to those not familiar with the horsey lingo!). On the Sunday morning we use our final session to go out in to the stunning countryside once more for another hack.

Day Ride Option:

Saturday Included in the price of the weekend is a day ride for experienced riders on the which includes 4 hours or more of riding including galloping/cantering in the beautiful hills & moorland and also incorporating a pub visit (lunch at additional)

On the Sunday morning we use our final session to go out in to the stunning countryside once more for another hack.

If you haven't ridden on this weekend with us before and we therefore do not know if you can control the horse at a gallop then you may need to pay an additional £10 to the venue for a Friday evening/early Saturday morning assessment ride to ensure you aren't over faced with the day ride option.

For those who are really keen there is the option to book and pay directly for a further ride on the Friday or Sunday afternoon. However, for those who don't ride very often, we probably wouldn't recommend it.

If you weigh 18 stone plus then please contact us with your height & riding experience and we will check with the stables about horse availability.

Riding Clothes: If you have jodphurs, riding boots, riding gloves and riding hat etc please do bring them with you. However if you are new to horse riding, please don't feel you need to go out and buy 'the gear' - think along the lines of sensible footwear with a small heel and ankle support (preferably not boots with laces if possible, though we can tape these down if needs be); comfy clothes, think layers!; waterproof jacket, thin fleece, t-shirt, gloves as the reins can rub your hands. Jeans are not really suitable for riding as you can end up with sore knees from the seams and they take forever to dry if they get wet. We would recommend close fitting lycra sports trousers/joggers/leggings and if you have something without inside leg seams even better! This event is not weather dependent so basically dress for the weather! Ladies, take your sports bra if you have one :-) If you have any questions about what to pack, please don't hesitate to give Lauren a call. You may wish to take along your swimwear as there is an onsite hot-tub that may or may not be working!

Otherwise, please bring what you would normally bring for a weekend away including casual clothes for the evenings, personal items such as toiletries, a towel, medication, sun-cream (well we can hope) etc. Bedding is provided. Also please bring any soft drinks or alcohol you would like to consume with you (tea & coffee provided) and any snacks whether for you or to share out.
