Hints & Weeford Figure of Eight Easy to Moderate Ramble

Join Rob smith on this brand new Figure of Eight ramble from in this fantastic location between Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield. 

Figure of Eight rambles have become very popular as they appeal to both social ramblers who just want a short morning or afternoon ramble and longer ramblers who want a full day ramble. Both rambles are around 4 miles and there are a couple of gradients but as usual we will tale our time. 

If you choose the morning ramble (10:15 for 10:30) you can either finish then (if the weather isn't too good - or the pub is more inviting!) or carry on with the afternoon one. 

If you fancy a shorter later starting ramble just turn up by 12:30 for the afternoon ramble. You can decide "on the day" what walk(s) you want to do. 

The Ramble: Set in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside and surrounded by the fruit fields of Manor Farm, the Strawberry Cabin is a great location has some fabulous views. You will see their Strawberry’s in many of the high street retailers. Speaking of which you will have time after the ramble to pick up some of your own. The café is licenced and has its own Gin Bar and does a legendry Sunday Lunch.  

The morning ramble: We leave the strawberry bank and head south east toward Bangley and towards the location of the new High speed 2 railway line we then skirt Brokhurst hill and head towards Canwell hall we return back towards Hints via the Heart of England way 

The afternoon Ramble is the flatter of the two and we head towards the Hamlet of Weeford and the old school house restaurant and wedding venue so we may well witness a wedding in progress. Then we head through several plantations before returning back to the strawberry bank for our Sunday Lunch or a well earn cup of tea.
