Overview

Join Phil Davies for a lovely walk from Pipers Hill taking in the lovely Hanbury Park and Hall.

Phil a Spice member has kindly offered to lead some walks in the Worcestershire and surrounding area.

Walk details:  A walk of approximately 5 miles with some great views towards The Malvern hills to the west and Bredon Hill to the south. The walk passes the fabulous National Trust property of Hanbury Hall along the way. We start and finish at Pipers Hill car park (free) between Stoke Works and Hanbury.

Unfortunately there are no toilets available on this walk and is not suitable for dogs as most of the fields we use have livestock grazing them.

Is it safe? If we follow government guidelines by maintaining social distancing and keeping numbers within recommended limits the risks are low. We will carefully choose the walks in terms of routes and start locations. We want to avoid places which are already busy, such as country parks for obvious reasons. We will be discussing the ‘rules’ with each walk leader to make sure that they are our members are kept safe and avoid risks as much as possible.

Food: At present, we can’t go to the pub afterwards for a drink or lunch, so the plan will be to choose walks that lend themselves to picnics, either part way round the walk or at the end.
