Overview

If you have driven through Coventry lately you can’t have missed Amazon. Their Fulfilment Centre is 400,000 square feet, the same size as 6 football pitches! This centre is unique, as it is the first centre in the UK and second centre in Europe to have the sole function of receiving goods.

They use the absolute “state of the art” in warehousing technology, so it really is a fascinating visit.

When visiting this sight you will gain an insight into the wonderful logistics behind Amazons first UK receive centre, and the opportunity to see our 8th generation fulfilment centre technology first hand.

Important: ● We will send details of directions, parking, what to wear (health and safety wise) nearer the time. ● We have very limited places, so this trip has to be restricted to Spice members (no guests). ● Visits like these rely on goodwill. There is high demand for these tours so will not be invited back if we waste any allocated places. Therefore, if you book, please ensure you will turn up on the day or let us know in good time if you have to cancel so that we can replace you.

Host & Everything Else

Here are some guidelines to help create the best possible experience:

Safety is the top priority in our fulfilment centres therefore we’re unable to accommodate children under the age of six. This includes infants being carried by their parents. All children age six and up should be accompanied by an adult and should be able to follow instructions from the tour guide.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour start time. Note: If you are more than 10 minutes late for your scheduled tour, you will be unable to join the tour and will be asked to reschedule your tour for a later date. We also are unable to accommodate guests arriving earlier than 30 minutes prior to the start of the tour.

Please arrive early enough to use the bathrooms prior to the start of the tour. There won’t be restroom breaks during the tour of the fulfilment centre.

You may bring your keys and your wallet on the tour. Please leave all other personal items at home or in your car, including bags, mobile phones, purses, briefcases and backpacks. We do have secure storage for coats if required.

No cameras, video equipment or other recording equipment including mobile phones are allowed on the tour. ·        No food or drink is permitted on the tour.

IMPORTANT: All guests must wear flat, closed-toe and closed-heel shoes (No sandals or high heels). We recommend wearing comfortable shoes/trainers.

Please stay with your tour guide, remain within the designated walkways or areas, refrain from touching any equipment or machinery, and follow the instructions of the tour guide at all times.
