Foxton Locks Easy to Moderate Ramble
Overview
Join Rob Smith for an easy to moderate 6 mile ramble Foxton Locks with an optional carvery Sunday Lunch.
We start by exploring the flight of locks and the Inclined Plane (used to move larger barges that wouldn’t fit into the locks) admiring the stunning views over the surrounding countryside before going along the canal to the village of Foxton.
Then we make our way towards Gumley and around the woods. We skirt around Smeeton Hill and then through the village. Finally we make our way back to Foxton Locks and the pub.
