Forest Of Dean Bike Ride
Overview
Cycling is both great exercise and an enjoyable way of seeing the local area. Today we will be cycling in the beautiful Forest Of Dean. We'll be taking a circular route based upon the Family Trail and we’ll be stopping for a picnic on the way, or you can eat in a nearby pub. Once fed and watered, we’ll continue for the final hour back to our starting point. The ride is approximately 9 miles in length. The road is almost entirely on recognised cycle paths away from the main roads. We will make sure that the pace is kept gentle so that everyone can keep up – it won’t be a race!
For this event you can bring your own bike. However we are starting at the Pedalabikeaway Cycle Centre in the Forest Of Dean where you can hire a bike for the day for around £19.00. If you wish to hire a bike please make sure you organise this in advance to guarantee your bike. They can be contacted on 01594 729000 or you can book online at http://pedalabikeaway.co.uk/bike-hire/#.
Spice bike rides are not only hugely popular, but also great fun. We will make sure everyone feels included and that a brilliant day is had by all. Don’t worry if you’re not the best cyclist in the world, you won’t get left behind, and can go at your own pace. Any bike ride with Spice promises to be full of banter and lots of laughing. Don’t miss it!
