Explore Stirling Day Out
Overview
Spice goes on the road to explore Scotland’s newest city and one of it’s most historic. Stirling claims to be the best small city in Scotland – shall we find out? We begin the day with an opportunity to explore Stirling’s premier attraction – Stirling Castle. There's more than ever to see and do with splendour, colour and glorious craftsmanship, enter the world of Scotland's Renaissance Kings & Queens. In the afternoon we will enjoy an Old Town Walk, visit Barras Yett Main – the old gates to the city, the church of Holy Rude, the 17th Century Tollbooth and Mercat Cross. There will be an opportunity to stop in a local cafe for lunch (not included but possibly at the castle) The entrance fee for the castle is included in the cost of your day (Historic Scotland members please see notes below). There will plenty of time to explore before we head for dinner at the award winning Henderson's Bistro.
