We'll set off from the Herdings area of Gleadless Valley. We'll follow part of the three valleys trail, crossing the county border into North East Derbyshire. Through woodland and fields, we'll reach Ridgeway Moor before taking a different route back to the start. We should also get a chance to learn about John Haslam's donkey!
Please dress appropriately for the weather, stout shoes or boots are recommended. There is no halfway food stop on the shorter evening walks but take snacks if you need and a drink.
We can't get together in the pub at the end but if you wish to bring a drink along we can drink it at a distance in the picnic area in Low Bradfield if it is open.
Distance: 5¼ miles approx.
This event is free and is strictly for members only. We are limited to a total of six people at present so do not delay if you want a place. Please book only if you fully intend to come along. We must all observe the social distancing regulations. Please do not book unless you are prepared to keep a two metre distance from other walkers. We are not requiring members to wear face coverings, but you are welcome to do so if that makes you feel more comfortable.
