Evening Walk: Beighton and Rother Valley
Overview
This evening we walk from Beighton alongside the River Rother into the former open cast coal mining area that is now the Rother Valley Country Park, with the former mine excavations forming artificial lakes well used by wildlife and for recreation. We'll walk upwards from the lakes to the edge of Wales Common and return to the start through the woodlands.
The Elmwood Farm pub will provide our post-walk refreshments!
