Overview

This evening we are off for a mooch around the Market Town of Altrincham wandering the streets (well not literally, we do have a route planned) of lovely abodes in the local area through to Bowdon touching on the border of Hale Barns and back through tree lined streets.

It isn't all about streets and houses though, we also go over fields, along tracks and beside the River Bollin so walking boots are highly recommended for this one.

Getting There

We will meet outside St Vincent De Paul R. C. Church which is on the corner of Groby Road and Bentinck Road close to Altrincham's Town Centre. This is a 10 minute walk from Altrincham Metrolink/Interchange for those travelling by public transport.

You can currently park for free on the road outside the church on Groby Road.

From the main A56 Dunham Road turn in to Regent Road and then take your first right on to Groby Road and park up outside the church.

Host & Everything Else

Please bring your walking boots and dress accordingly for the weather. Please refer to the Ramble Grading page HERE which also gives you a list of recommended items to bring with you. Although the latter part of this walk is done mainly on pavements, you may wish to bring a head torch.

DOGS: Lauren welcomes well behaved dogs on her walks. They need to be kept on a lead if we are walking amongst livestock, whilst we are eating and at all times if there is someone on the walk who is nervous of dogs.
