Evening Ramble: Roundhay Park
Overview
Why not split the week up and join Roy for this evening walk? The walk starts in Roundhay Park in north east Leeds. We skirt the famous lake before making our way through the woods and fields. The halfway point stop is to the north, at a pub in the opulent village of Shadwell. The walk is short (4 mile tops) and we usually go for a drink nearby afterwards. Please dress appropriately, stout shoes or boots are recommended, warm, windproof and waterproof clothing is essential. Please note that the evening walks need to leave on time for safety reasons so if you miss the start why not join us for the halfway drink at the Red Lion and we’ll try and sort something out. Well behaved dogs are welcome on this walk but must be controlled on a leash less than 2m in length at all times.
Grade: 4; Distance: 4 miles approx.
Location & Itinerary
We'll be following footpaths and bridleways and these may become muddy dependent on the recent weather. We will need to pass over some stiles.
