Evening Ramble: Lodge Moor near Redmires, Sheffield
Overview
Starting near Redmires reservoir we will follow paths to Lodge Moor; the old isolation hospital has been replaced by a housing estate, but they have retained the iconic tower. We will make our way back along the ridge overlooking the Rivelin valley with views across to Stannington and Rivelin reservoir.

Location & Itinerary
Wyming Brook car park.
Wyming Brook car park, take Redmires road from the A57 towards the reservoirs and look out for the car park on the right. GR SK 269868. If you get to the reservoir you have gone too far. Nearest postcode is S10 4QX, but that is for the farm at the other side of the road so don't just blindly rely on the satnav.
Directions
From Sheffield city centre take the A57 from Brook Hill roundabout and continue on to Fulwood Road, taking a slight right to continue along the A57 into Manchester Road. Continue for around half a mile before turning left onto Selbourne Road, then turn left onto Sandygate Road. Continue and keep right to follow onto Redmires Road for around 2.5 miles and park in Wyming Brook car park, just past Soughley Lane.
