Easy Afternoon Social Stroll around Pugneys Wakefield
Overview
Come and join Jill for a steady and socially distanced stroll around Pugneys Lake, with views of the ruins of Sandal Castle. We will start in the car park and take a circular route.
We'll stop afterwards at the cafe for a drink.
Do not attend if you have virus symptoms.
We must all observe the social distancing regulations. Please do not book unless you are prepared to keep a two metre distance from other walkers. We are not requiring members to wear face coverings, but you are welcome to do so if that makes you feel more comfortable. We advise that you bring gloves and hand sanitiser. Do not share food or drink or equipment such as walking poles with other walkers outside your household or bubble.

2:30pm in the car park ready to start walking.
Pugneys Country Park is easy to reach from junction 39 of the M1. Take the A636 towards Wakefield. At the second roundabout, take the third exit. The large car park is free at the time of writing.
Buses 108, 109, 435, 436, 436A and 437 stop nearby on Denby Dale Road. Take the Pugneys Country Park stop.
