This event is no longer available.

For our Easter Break this year we are in the historic City of Durham with its many attractions including the magnificent medieval cathedral, the castle, the River Wear, and several fascinating museums. There is a good selection of independent shops and a market place to browse as well as the Prince Bishops Place shopping centre. There are plenty of places to socialise nearby with cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars in the city centre as well as in the Walkergate Centre even closer to our hotel.

Join us for a fun weekend where we will take in the sights of the city, all within a short walk of the Premier Inn Hotel.

On the Saturday night we will have a riverboat party on the Prince Bishop with great views of the city, a BBQ and disco all on board our private cruise.

Included in the price is three breakfasts, two dinners, a cathedral tour, a fabulous party river cruise with BBQ, a treasure hunt, and a guided walk, with more optional group activities.

This promises to be a great weekend so come along and have a great time of the long break with lots of fellow Spicers!

Please note that room rates are likely to increase as we get nearer to the time so book now to secure your break at the best price.

Full joining info will be sent out around a week beforehand to help with planning, directions etc.

We are feeling festive here in the Spice office as we now have details of the Christmas Party! We had great feedback from our seventies and eighties party last month, so I know many of you are looking forward to the next one.

What an amazing time we had at the Spice National Weekend, particularly at the sea-themed fancy dress party. The photo shows the winners of the fancy dress competition: Angela, Helen, and the overall winner was Spice Yorkshire's very own Peter Knox, dressed as the Titanic, complete with the fateful iceberg! Peter also won the blackjack competition. Other Yorkshire winners included Yvonne, who won a fabulous flamingo at Bingo Bango, and Gill was on the winning team in the quiz! There are lots more photos of the weekend in this album. We're already working on a new National Weekend for next summer, so look out for that soon.

The photo shows us at the Nidd Gorge Viaduct near Harrogate on Sunday. We timed it just right as the rain had passed before our walk. Afterwards we enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Boar's Head in Ripley.
