Cycle Ride with Matt
Overview
Meeting Time:
9.15am to set off at 9.30am (to take advantage of the quieter Sunday morning!)
Estimated Finish Time:
1.00pm – 2.00pm back at Bromley South (may change and is timing approximate)
Proposed Route:
Bromley to Greenwich via Catford and Lewisham using designated cycle routes where possible.
The route will take us via Shortland’s Railway Station, through Beckenham Place Park, then near Bellingham Railway Station, onto Catford, then through towards Lewisham and Deptford, then into Greenwich. To start with, we will head for the Cutty Sark. Post Code of the Cutty Sark is SE10 9HT.
The exact route may change owing to local conditions. We can also stop in the parks on the way, and when we get to Greenwich, we can visit Greenwich Park and have lunch there. We can walk up to the top of the park (where the Observatory is) if we wish.
Distance:
Approximately 7 – 10 miles each way.
Pace / Difficulty:
Will be an easy pace circa 10mph. A few steep sections but reasonably flat.
Location & Itinerary
Outside Bromley South Station, High Street, Bromley BR1 1LX. Bromley South Station is easily accessible from London Victoria Station or local bus routes.
There are car parks nearby if you are driving – approximately 10 minutes’ walk away.

You can also travel with your cycle on overground trains during off-peak times. But if you, remember you must wear a face mask when travelling on public transport.
