● I especially enjoyed the Croquet yesterday and I couldn't stop talking about it at work when they asked me what I did over the weekend.  I have played it before when I was younger at garden parties and I enjoyed it then so when I saw it in the Spice Book I thought immediately about booking it and being something different too to the events you usually organise.

●Highly enjoyable, genteel way to spend an afternoon! Our instructor was a very charming, affable and patient guide, and other Club members were very friendly and only too pleased to demonstrate the finer points of the game, both at the level at which we were being introduced to it and by indicating what we might expect to encounter at more advanced levels. The whole afternoon was very enjoyable and I’d recommend it very highly to anyone thinking of having a go!

As usual had a fab time at this event, done it a few times before. Very English, playing croquet on a Sunday afternoon, with the band playing in the background at the Botanical gardens. The sunshine just made it perfect.

● I did enjoy the Croquet, it was good value for money,it was well organised and the teaching of the rules was very concise and easy to grasp, which is always good for Spicers!! It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, very relaxing and there was time in between to chat and make new friends. It was good to see the men attending this event as I wasn't sure whether it would appeal to the men but it did and they enjoyed it just as much as us females did, and the competitive side did come out of all of us. Not in the same league as the Dragon Boat Racing but still very enjoyable and it is always good to try a new sport, I would certainly go again.
