Christmas Tree Walk and Sunday Lunch at the Scotts Arms Sicklinghall
Overview
Come and join us for a Christmas Tree walk that will be approximately 3¾ miles starting at the Scotts Arms. Our route takes us out of the village, along paths that follow the edge of one of the Christmas tree nurseries in the area.
Afterwards we will go back to the pub for a tasty Sunday lunch. if you don't want to walk please make sure you let us know and meet us in the bar at 1:45pm.

MAINS
Roast beef served with Yorkshire pudding, thyme roasted potatoes, vegetables and gravy
Roast turkey breast with Yorkshire pudding, thyme roasted potatoes, pigs in blankets, sage and onion stuffing, vegetables and gravy
Roast rare breed Whixley pork loin with Yorkshire pudding, thyme roasted potatoes, crispy crackling, apple compote, vegetables and gravy
Nut and vegetable loaf (V) topped with cranberries and apricot with Yorkshire pudding, thyme roasted potatoes, vegetables and gravy
Sea salt and rosemary roasted cauliflower (VE) with thyme roasted potatoes, vegetables and gravy
Fisherman's Pie - Tiger tail king prawns, flaked salmon and white fish combined in a creamy bechamel sauce with chives, topped with creamy mash and mature Cheddar
Whole-Tail Breaded Scampi - served with chips, salad and homemade tartare sauce
Peri Peri Chicken Burger - chargrilled chicken fillet dusted in Portuguese spices, in a seeded brioche bun with rocket, tomato and mango yoghurt
Scotts Arms Famous Steak and Ale Pie - tender diced steak encased in golden short crust pastry with steamed vegetables, gravy and your choice of chips or mash
Fish & Chips - large haddock fillet in crispy batter with minted mushy peas, chips and a wedge of lemon
Steak burger - 170g ground sirloin in a seeded brioche bun with rocket, plum toamto and a pot of relish
DESSERTS
Chocolate Tartelette - sweet pastry case, chocolate ganache, clotted cream and fresh berries
Affogato - Northern Bloc hazelnut and chocolate swirl ice cream shot of espresso and amaretti biscuit
Sticky Toffee Pudding - Dark toffee sauce, hot custard or vanilla pod ice cream
Apple & Mulled Berry Crumble - cinnamon infused mixed berry and apple compote topped with crunchy oats with hot creamy custard
Northern Bloc Ice Cream (VE, GF). 3 scoops to choose on the day
The walk is mainly on paths, with a short walking along a road and around half a mile on a dirt road. There is a total ascent of around 60 metres, but it's never steep. It's unlikely that we will encounter farm animals.
11:45am in the pub car park or if you are not walking 1:45pm in the bar of the Scotts Arms.
The Scotts Arms is on the main street in the village of Sicklinghall, just outside Wetherby and has a car park.
