Christmas Themed Horse Drawn Carriage Ride in Windsor Great Park
Overview
Enjoy a morning treat on a Festive Horse-drawn Carriage ride whilst taking in the beautiful sights travelling through Windsor Great Park. As this is a Christmas theme feel free to wear a festive hat and a christmas jumper etc to really get this festive season off to a great start.
The horse & carriage are beautifully decorated with twinkling garlands, gold & white berries for the Festive Season and their magnificent part-shire horse will of course be wearing antlers! This is designed to get you "in the mood" for Christmas.
You can snuggle up with the cosy lap rug provided whilst you enjoy the relaxing journey through the Winter landscape of Windsor Great Park. If you listen carefully you may even hear some Festive music!
Joanna, your carriage driver/guide has run the tours since 2009 and will provide history and lesser known facts about the area, with well-mannered carriage horses Henry or Delwyn, your horsepower on the day.
Enjoy birdsong & the gentle sound of horse’s hooves as we make our way on Rhododendron Ride overlooking Savill Garden & The Queen Elizabeth Temperate House. We also travel on a woodland trail through the charming Chapel Wood fragrant Magnolias/Cherry Blossom which are present in Spring. From here the tour continues on a circular route back to Savill Building.
We have booked two 30-minute rides, the first one starting at 10.30am and the second one being 11.10am, so please choose your preferred time when booking.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a weight restriction of 60 stone per carriage so please complete the booking question regarding this. The carriage seats 4 people.
Afterwards, we hope to visit the onsite cafe for a nice hot beverage to warm our winter cockles!
IMPORTANT: It is not possible to social distance on the carriage ride so face masks/coverings must be worn at all times

Location & Itinerary
Parking: There is a fee-paying car park. Cost: between £2.50 - £3 per hour so it’s advisable to car share where possible. Take a ticket upon arrival and pay on exit
Meet Jackie at the front of Savill Building at Savill Garden outside the Visitor Centre.
From Jackie will escort you to the area where you carriage awaits. If you miss her, walk along the path (from the Savill building) which goes left and right. Take the RIGHT side of the path towards a cream coloured house and the carriage will be waiting here. If you cannot find the meet point please call Jackie on Tel: 07845 9314306 and she will direct you.
