Ceilidh at Cecil Sharp House, Camden
Overview
It’s like a good Scottish wedding except you don’t have to buy a present. You get to dance and learn highland reels including the Gay Gordon’s, Strip the Willow and the Dashing White Sergeant.
Suitable for anyone, and all levels of experience from absolute beginners to expert, it’s a fabulous way to spend an evening. There’s a caller to let you know the steps and there’s a six piece live band!
Ceilidh dancing – it makes you smile – there is no better way to invigorate your evening.
If you have never done this before, all the more reason to join us! No experience necessary. Come and let your hair down.
Meet inside the venue at the downstairs cafe for 7.30pm. The event starts at 8pm and runs until 11pm with a break halfway to catch your breath. There is no dress code but we appreciate tartan (and you look good in it too). The hall has an air cooling system, however please remember to wear something comfy for dancing.
