Canons Ashby Moderate to Hard walk in Northamptonshire
Overview
This undulating 11 mile walk starts at the beautiful Canons Ashby NT property.
There are no steep gradients and we ramble through pastoral Northamptonshire visiting the villages of Woodford Halse, Eydon, Culworth and Moreton Pinkney, where you could be mistaken for thinking you were in the Cotswolds.
Those who suffer “cottage envy” may find this walk too much to cope with!
We will stop for lunch in Culworth at either the Red Lion or the Forge Café.
As a rough guide, this walk should take us about 5 hours in all.
Note: There are public toilets at the start, but they may only be open to National Trust members, so remember to bring your card. Dogs are not welcome, due to the large numbers of horses that we may well encounter. Whilst the route is not steep it can be rather muddy after rain, so don’t wear your best dancing shoes.
Extras
Parking is free, unless National Trust change rules in meantime.
