Canoe Experience on The River Nene
Overview
You will paddle out from the base at Rushden Lakes, go along the River Nene, and then paddle back to where you started from. The canoe's are generally for 2 people but some can hold 3.
The River Nene is a lovely calm, gentle river, and is perfect for the novice paddler . The River Nene is one of Northamptonshire & Cambridgeshire’s finest assets and has a wealth of natural and historic beauty for you to enjoy in your Canoe.
Location & Itinerary
You will receive a comprehensive safety & paddle briefings and oodles of great advice which explains the ins and outs of the stretch of river that you’ll be using.
They are based at Rushden Lakes shopping centre, just down the side of House of Fraser and right next to the lake.
Park in The Rushden shopping centre car park and if you think you would like to extend your stay beyond 5 hours (the standard maximum parking time) they can extend the parking on the day for you.
Host & Everything Else
- I really enjoyed the canoe experience. It was a great laugh. The coordinator was friendly. The only point I would make is if a member of the canoe place went with us it would help because its not easy to get a canoe to go in the direction you want if you are a novice. However I would definitely go on boat activity again as I love them.
