Calke Abbey and Dimminsdale Woods Autumnal Ramble
Overview
A lovely 6 mile ramble with Steve Dell taking in three remarkable features. Calke Abbey is an impressive National Trust property, which is within Calke Park, a 300 hectare beautiful parkland and National Nature Reserve and Dimminsdale Woods near to Ashby De La Zouch.
The walk starts from The Ferrers Centre and initially passes the picturesque church and reservoir. We them make our way to and then explore the pretty Dimminsdale Woods as we make our way to Calke Abbey estate and nature reserve where fallow deer are often spotted grazing. We then explore Calke Park and Serpentine Woods before making our way back to Staunton Harold.

There are cafés at the start and Calke Abbey and the option to have a pub lunch after the ramble (depending of rules at the time)
