Brecon Ramble

This is a ramble on well made paths, around the market town of Brecon.  It’s reasonably flat so a nice easy walk. 

Brecon is a compact market town , with a Cathedral , Castle , Town Walls , Canal Basin, Medieval bridge and surprisingly for somewhere so far inland a Promenade. Plus its narrow streets and alleyways contain many interesting buildings.

This is a circular walk starting at the canal basin (large car park  not too expensive)  The walk is between three and four miles at an easy pace , with plenty of stops to enjoy the places of interest..  

The walk will probably take around 2 hours. At the end of the walk we should be able to get a coffee and maybe a snack – which we will probably have to consume outside due to the covid regulations.
