You’ll be in good hands for your lesson as Fraser Withey is a local, experienced and fully accredited ASI instructor.
Lessons last 90 minutes on the water but please arrive 10 minutes early so you can get set up.
After your lesson, you can enjoy a hot drink and a cake (or lunchl), and have a chat about the lesson.
Flotation vests and all equipment needed for your lesson will be provided but please wear shorts & tshirt that you don't mind getting wet. If you have wet shoes or old trainers you can wear those but bare feet will be fine. It is advisable to bring spare clothes to change into after your lesson.
If high wind is forecast on the day, we will reschedule our booking.
There is no parking provision on site for paddlers at the Black Shed but there is a nearby free public car park which is open all day, 7 days a week.
Please meet your host, Helen Rome, at the Black Shed Café, Patch Bridge, Shepherds Patch, Slimbridge, GL2 7BP. Once you get there, walk around the rear car park at the Black Shed and you will arrive at the launch area.
Please also ensure you are aware of and abide by Covid restrictions at that time.
