I can't remember the last time I enjoyed an event as much as I did today. the staff are so friendly and helpful, making sure everyone is at ease and comfortable with the horse riding. The support and encouragement they gave was fantastic. I have to agree with Carol; I learnt more today than I have since I started riding in January.I hope to return soon (once I regain the use of my legs!).Many thanks.

The Beginners Horse Trek was an excellent event, although a little difficult to find as I don't have a TomTom!! The organisers were friendly and made hot drinks for us on arrival. We were kitted out with helmets and filled out a questionnaire and asked if we had any previous riding experience.

The group size of 8 people was just right and once we were all ready we set off around the lanes of this quiet, beautiful rural area. We were lucky in having dry weather and it was great to be able to see over the hedges into the fields and gardens - there were some lovely lambs in the fields which gave an added "Easter" feel to the ride. We walked in line through the lanes and forded a stream - the horses were very placid which was good for the complete beginners and on returning to the stables the two leaders made us more hot drinks and there was a delicious home-made sponge cake as well. All in all the trek was good value as it gave a good couple of hours out on the horses, the suppliers were great and I really enjoyed the trek. I thought it might be off road down bridleways but it was a quiet area and it was good experience. I would recommend it to others.
