Bath Skyline Walk
Overview
This is an 8 mile walk starting at Bath Spa rail station. From the station we will walk along the canal and up the hill to join the Bath Skyline Walk route which boasts a variety of views from its elevated position, nestled among tree-lined hills. Along the walk you will hear the gentle chatter of birds, rustling leaves and babbling spring waters and enjoy the smell of wildflowers.
It is quite a hilly walk and a fair distance so you should be reasonably fit, although the pace will be gentle.
This is an all day walk, so bring a picnic lunch with you, as well as the normal water and snacks for along the way. There may be the opportunity to go for a coffee and a chat at the end of the walk, dependent on how long the walk takes.
Walking boots are required and please pay attention to the weather on the day of the walk and dress appropriately. You may also want to bring some sun cream if the weather is sunny.
And, of course, don't forget to bring your face mask and hand gel and respect social distancing rules.
There are toilets at Bath Spa Station and at a number of refreshment stops along the way.
Mike Vowles will be your guide and host for the day and will meet you at Bath Spa Station, BA1 1SU.
