Avington Park is a privately owned stately home set in its own parkland bordering the River Itchen, near Winchester. It was once described by William Cobbett as “one of the prettiest places in the County” and has royal connections with both King Charles II and King George IV. We will enjoy a guided tour of the Georgian State Rooms on the ground and first floors, taking in the Main Hall, Library, Conservatory, Ballroom and Drawing Room and hearing more about the history of the house, enjoy a cream tea and explore the grounds of the estate.
NB - Cream Teas must be ordered ahead so there will be no late availability for this event.
There is parking available at the house. Winchester Railway Station is approximately 15 minutes by taxi.
