Authentic Alfresco South Indian Cookery Session
Overview
We discovered Peter serving up lovely vegetarian food on Altrincham Market and although described as Indian food, it was far from what we had become used to being served up. None of that oily, high calorie food we buy from the local take-away; its food produced from the soul as it has been over centuries in the Tamil region of India.
We were intrigued so invited him along to show us and a few guinea pigs (friends) how it’s done and we had a great time – so much so, we figured it would make a fab Spice event. It does, so much so that Peter is in his 9th year of running them for us although this time around with a difference as we will meet outdoors but under cover and socially distanced! However should the weather be poor we can retire indoors (again socially distanced) under the rule of 6.
Peter gives a fascinating insight in to the Spices, Vegetables and Pulses he uses and their health benefits as well as explaining their origins before going on to prepare a typical Tamil lunch for us to enjoy.
Includes
a cookery demonstration followed by a vegetarian South Indian Meal & Light Refreshments
