Overview

Not sure what to do for August bank holiday? Why not spend it with us in Anglesey on a lovely weekend break? It will involve exploring some of the most stunning coastal views that Anglesey has to offer (so don’t forget your camera). This three night bank holiday trip will be a refreshing weekend break with guided walks and local visits. The island is such a beautiful area, full of places for us to visit. Castles, beaches, shopping… you name it!

The Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path is a long distance walk that follows the picturesque coastline of the island. It’s full of striking natural beauty that’s ideal for walkers. As it is one of our guided walks, we will walk the highest point of Anglesey, Holyhead Mountain and have access to beautiful views of sea arches and cliffs.

Includes

3 Nights' accommodation in comfortable Spice exclusive hostel or your own tent, 2 packed lunches, 2 cooked breakfasts, 1 Continental breakfast, 2 guided walks, buffet on Friday night, plus hot evening meals on Saturday and Sunday

Travel & Stay

On our trip to Anglesey, we will be staying at the 3 star Outdoor Alternative which has facilities designed for comfort all year round. The buildings are heated and well ventilated so our stay will be warm, fresh and relaxed. The facilities provide space for parking, so no trouble there.

There’s no need to worry about bedding since pillows, duvet, and fresh sleeping bags are supplied for a comfortable stay in the hostel but obviously if you choose the camping option, please bring your own. Toilet, shower and wash room facilities are to be found adjacent to the bedrooms and for those camping there are plentiful onsite facilities.

The rooms are of a good size, so there’s plenty of room for Spicers to kick back or socialise. We have taken exclusive use of Mulfran, formerly known as the Centre, sleeps up to 21 people in 5 bedrooms with wash basins in each room and 3 separate shower rooms.

Mulfran has two bedrooms sleeping two, two bedrooms sleeping six and one bedroom sleeping five.

Getting There

Directions: From the new A55 dual carriageway across the Island leave at Junction 3, signposted Y Fali/Valley, A5; Follow signs for Y Fali/Valley, continue to the road junction traffic lights. Continue for just over 1 mile, over the new road bridge, straight across the mini roundabout Take the left turn shortly after the bridge over the Inland Sea at Four Mile Bridge - signposted "Rhoscolyn" and "White Eagle" After 1.3 miles turn sharp left at the 'Silver Bay' sign. Host & Everything Else

A kit list will be emailed to you ahead of the event. It’s a chance to spend a weekend in a stunning place with great people.

As always with these hostel style weekends, everyone is expected to muck in to help make the weekend go smoothly from helping with the cooking, washing up and making sure that the venue is left spick and span upon our departure.
