Alison's Walk - Aberdour
Overview
From the station we head through the village then take a path through woods and farmland to Dunearn. Most of the walk’s 180m of ascent is in the first part of the walk through the woods, so we will take a leisurely pace. We continue downhill through farmland to eventually reach the Fife coastal path just south of Burntisland. We return to Aberdour along the coastal path to Silver Sands beach where there is a cafe for coffee and cake. It’s then a short walk back to the station.
Location & Itinerary
Meet at the entrance to Aberdour station at 10:15
The 09:41 from Waverley arrives in Aberdour at 10:12.
Carol Fraser will meet anyone who is travelling by train from Waverley.
Please meet Carol outside Boots on the main concourse by 09:30 to head to the train.
Meet in the car park at the entrance to Aberdour station, anyone coming by train should cross the bridge when they get off the train. A day return (without railcard) is £7.70.
