Another new and original craft idea for you to try!

Acrylic pouring is an abstract art technique where fluid acrylic paints are mixed and poured in a beautifully artistic way. With so many acrylic pouring techniques available it can be difficult to know where to begin but our expert instructor Teresa, is here to guide us through. In this unique workshop Teresa has combined all of the current acrylic paint pouring techniques so we can learn about them all in one convenient place.

We will start with a description of the different techniques and options available followed by a demonstration of how to mix and pour the paint. Examples of this type of artwork will be available to look at to give us inspiration for our own projects.

With all the materials available at our fingertips we can then get started and have a go at creating our masterpieces.

We will have the opportunity to create four 20x20cm canvas paintings of our own to display at home or gift to others.

As our art work will need time to dry, Teresa will post our masterpieces out to us after the workshop

Use of tools and all materials will be included. Tea and coffee, and biscuits available throughout the day.

As this will be our first time at this event we don't have any members' feedback to publish yet. Instead, below is some feedback from the Enamelling Earring workshop which is also hosted but the same instructor.

  • Excellent enamelling workshop. I thought the event a bit expensive when I booked it, but when I realised the cost of the materials and processing of the items, I could see the cost was justified. Teresa is obviously very experienced, both in craft skills and also in teaching amateurs: she was very encouraging and helpful. It’s wonderful that a novice can, in just an hour or two, produce a couple of attractive items that I shall be happy to show off to friends. I can see myself doing more of Teresa’s workshops.
  • Teresa was a patient tutor who managed to spread herself amongst the five of us so that we all were able to complete each of the stages of the enamelling.
  • The class size was just right, more people would have made it difficult to get as much of Teresa’s time as we needed.
  • It was a very enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I would be very happy to recommend it to others.
