There’s no mistaking Ross-on-Wye in south Herefordshire as a market town. St Mary’s Church spire has shaped the skyline of Ross-on-Wye for over 700 years. Perched dramatically above the River Wye, Ross is the southern gateway to Herefordshire, the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean and the dramatic Symonds Yat. This is our destination for a weekend of walking as well as socialising. The plan is to offer a walk on both Saturday and Sunday of around 6 to 8 miles in length that is suitable for most.
