Originally a small pool in Rotton Park, Edgbaston Reservoir was extensively enlarged by Thomas Telford as a top up for Birmingham canal system and is still used for that purpose today. The gatehouse is a listed building. Join the Friends of Edgbaston Reservoir for an early evening stroll around the Reservoir to find out about its history and importance for Birmingham commerce and industry. You may even learn a surprising fact about the tightrope walker Charles Blondin!
