Spice Member Survey 2013 - £1 for your thoughts to Comic Relief

Every few years Spice conducts a national survey of all our members.
To encourage you to take part this year Spice will donate £1 to Comic Relief for every reply received.
Please be assured, this is no empty "admin excercise". Every survey will be read personally by Dave Smith at Spice UK as well as by the teams at the Spice local office, so it is a real opportunity to feed back your experience of Spice Membership.
Action can then be taken where we fall short and big "team smiles" can be generated from areas where we are shown to be succeeding.

Dave Smith (National Co-ordinator) , Ian Purvis (Holiday Manager) are excited to present an overview of the 2012 Spice UK Ski Programme. Dominic Renshaw (Co-ordinator Spice TVS) will also be joining us as a keen experienced skier , and we hope to bring in some other experienced Spice skiers on the night. We will cover next years holidays, and then open it up for Q & A. Last an hour!

Should be fun - why not grab a coffee or even a gluvien if you want to get into the mood - hey, you could even get your ski gear on ;-) , and spend an hour with us looking at next years great trips - lots of new new resorts and great deals. Only 100 Seats on the night so get yourself registered.

Spice Webinar Project

Over the years we have always been keen to pick up on new technology, from when in the 80's we first got an answerphone (whoo hoo), then fax (when no one else had one!), first Amstrad computer, etc. And to our our next project trials this month, as we are going to run a live 'webinar' for potential new members, so rather than coming out to a New Members Night, you can stay at home and meet us through the computer live! Testing now, first live webinar pilots in Yorkshire Spice Wed 23rd Feb! (Feb 2011)

Websites Video Introduction Go Live

We have now had a redesign of our Front page, and added a new personal video introduction about Spice from each Co-ordinator. It has been quite a project, writing a script, getting it filmed, edited, and sitting it in the right place! Check it out on the top right of our home page. (Jan 2011)

Spice National 30th Anniversary Ball - Palace Hotel, Manchester Sat 8th October 2011

2011 is our 30th Birthday, and to celebrate we are having an amazing party in Manchester (where we were born!), on Sat 8th October. Get that date in your diary, it will be a spectacular not-to-be-missed occassion and booking will open early January. We will keep you updated here with news and all the details as they are released. Highlights will include a Red Carpet entrance, Bucks Fizz welcome drink, 4 Course Meal including wine, a full live Mowtown Stage Show, Disco, and if thats not enough, for those with the stamina we will continue with an exclusive after party party, in our own pub at the Hotel, Hog Roast sandwich included and Kareoke! There willbe plenty of added value extras and surprises as well, all adding up to the best night our you can imagine. 2010 has been the year of Facebook, as it tipped into 500 million users. Social Networking is the the thing of the moment, so we have been putting some energy in our Facebook Fanpage these last couple of weeks, and posting lots more content, updates, discussions, videos, audio clips, photos, competitions, and advice. Spice UK 2011 Calendar Competition

It's time for another Spice competition! We're producing a Spice Photo Calendar for 2011 and would like you to submit your entries of a picture from a Spice event. The calendar will be sold for £8 each, with all profits going to Make A Wish Foundation. We will have a member vote for the winning pictures, using the voting function on Facebook. You don't need a Facebook account to enter, you can view the pics and send an email to dave@spiceuk, although if you want to vote you will need a Facebook Account.
It's easy to enter - simply submit a photo of a Spice event on either our Facebook page or by emailing dave@spiceuk.com. All entries must be submitted by Friday 19th November, when the voting for the best twelve will commence. Voting will close on Friday 26th November. The photos which get the most 'likes' will win a page in the glossy calendar. Oh and the good part (for us) is that we get the rights to use your fun, exciting piccies in our marketing materials and website! So nothing too embarrassing that you might regret if it pops up at the top of the website!
Terms & Conditions Entries must be submitted by midnight on Friday 19th November 2010. By entering this competition and submitting your photograph, you grant Spice UK the right to use your picture in the Spice Calendar, Website, and all other publicity materials. The Spice UK panel of judges will select 30 finalists and post them on our Facebook page to face the public vote. Voting on the Facebook page will end at 3pm on Friday 26th November and the votes will be counted by the Spice UK panel of judges and the winners announced. The winners will be notified via the email address submitted or via their Facebook address shown on the entry. You can enter the competition a maximum of 5 times per person as long as you post a different photograph each time. This competition is completely free to enter for Spice members. You must be a current paid up member to be eligible to enter.		We want you to share your experiences with us!
Employees of Spice and their immediate families and anyone professionally connected with the promotion are also eligible to enter this competition. No responsibility will be accepted for entries that are not received. Spice UK reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for any reason deemed appropriate. 30 Spice Member Video Testimonials Project Completed

This autumn saw the completion of a Video Testimonial project, which now sits on the Home Page. We appealed for members to step forward in the early summer to give us a testimonial, and happily (!) were swamped with volunteers, and then even more humbled when we heard what they had to say. Our grateful thanks to each and every one of you - we know these videos will inspire lots of other people to jump over the threshold, seize the day and add a touch of extra Spice to their lives!
