Speedball is always a popular event, another great, fun game to play and the beauty of it is that the way the rules are structured it caters for people of mixed abilities both male and female, beginners and experienced! There are two teams involved with 8 in each The rules, which you soon pick up, are explained to you before the start by the Ball Park's official umpire who does all the scoring as well from his little perch above the court, using an electronic score board.
Each team bats for 16 overs each and everyone is involved in all aspects of the game - bowling batting and fielding. The game lasts for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Ball Park offers excellent facilities with changing rooms and showers as well as a bar to retire to discuss the merits of the game! Please do not book on this event if you might have to cancel as we need to have two even teams!
Once again the emphasis of the evening will be on fun and enjoyment so come on and give it a go !
DIRECTIONS: The centre is approx. 1 mile from Bradford city centre, coming out on the A647 (Morley Street) and is just past the University halls of residence and next to Bradford Park Avenue Cricket ground .
