HAVE A GO ON THE 'RESCUE' BOATS THAT ZIP UP AND DOWN LOOKING AFTER EVERYONE
Many of you have been on our Sailing and Windsurf days at Rother Valley, and most would love to have a go on the 'Rescue' boats that zip up and down looking after everyone - so Say No More!! We have 2 Boats booked for the day - a RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) and a tiller controlled boat. Its one of the great days in the Spice Programme - Rother Valley being a superb watersports Centre very close to Sheffield. Today's session is on their own small powerboats, being shown the skills and the speed, and getting the opportunity to have a go at driving these super boats yourself. Rother Valley is an RYA recognised training centre, and this day is an RYA Intro. Course, leading to part 1 Introduction to PowerBoating Certificate(level 1) so that you can take it further if you wish and gain recognised qualifications, or just use the day for enjoyment. The cost includes a certificate and a log book so that you can take PowerBoating further if you get the bug.
Its a full day course, so take a flask of something hot to drink and a packed lunch. Wrap up warm with waterproofs, hats and gloves a must as it gets cold zipping through the water (but usually not wet!). Wet suits can be hired if they suit you better than waterproofs. There is a max of 6 so you get plenty of time at the wheel!
