Cost: £5 Grade: 3/4 (Moderate/Easy) 9 miles
A gentle undulating ramble with no nasty surprises in the form of steep ascents or descents. The walk takes field paths and lanes towards Taddington at first and then Chelmorton where we will have a lunch break (There is a pub stop but availability and quality is unknown so best to bring a "backup packup" just in case!) A shorter walk back in the afternoon, once again across fields with plenty of dry stone walls, styles, and evidence of mining to divert attention. A gentle introduction to rambling but please remember to wear boots or stout shoes with good grippy soles. Why not bring your mum on this ramble as it is mothers day/
Directions: take your best route to Baakewell & then the B5055 to Monyash. There is a small carpark in the village or park sensibly near the pub.
