The area is rich in historic houses and the route that Gary takes us on today will pane by some of them. The walk starts at Millthorpe and takes in Holmesfield Park wood, Lidgate and Horeleygate before returning to Millthorpe. The terrain includee some field paths (with some undulatione!) and a small amount of walking on quiet roads. A lunch time drink should be possible at the robin Hood Inn at Lidgate but take a packed lunch and some snacks to keep you going on the way round. The distance covered should be about 6-7 miles.

DIRECTIONS: Take the A621 out of Sheffield to the Owler Bar roundabout. From there take t36051 to Millthorpe and meet at the Royal Oak Pub which is approx. 1.75 miles down this road on the left hand side. Parking is available on the road just past the pub, Millthorpe Lane.
