ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO TRY THIS THRILLING AND POPULAR RACE CAR DRIVING EXPERIENCE IN SINGLE SEATER RACING CARS

This is of course a classic Spice Dream Day, a chance to tick off another ambition achieved. It's a terrific experience to sit in one of the race prepared Formula Ford single seater's, driving a vehicle faster than you have done before. Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill - to name but two - cut their racing teeth in Formula Ford.

As with all Spice events you will be in the hands of professional instructors. Malcolm Barfoot and his team from Aintree Racing Drivers School show you all you need to know and to help you enjoy your day to the full whether you're 18 or 80. This will be a day to enjoy and remember forever.

Your Itinerary:

9.00am PROMPT Registration and welcoming cup of tea or coffee. Your day starts off with demonstration laps in a sports saloon car to familiarise you with the circuit you're to drive on. There then follows a briefing taking you through the day, the cars and circuit, cornering lines, gear change points, braking points and general track discipline. In fact all you need to know to help you drive quickly & safely.

Approx. 11.00am: Your circuit activity commences with more sports saloon car laps, this time with you driving with your own personal instructor who will advise you of any mistakes you may have made. Then what you've really been waiting for - a ten lap formula ford lapping session. In this session you follow one of Aintree's experienced Instructors in another formula Ford. This 'pace car' is an idea pioneered by Aintree RDS in 1981. Far from slowing you down, it in fact pulls you round quicker than you would manage by yourself

Optional Extra Add Ons To Your Day: -Helpful if they know in advance but can be decided on day

1. Hi Speed PASSENGER Laps in a sports saloon (Min 3 laps) £15 Extra. (Occasionally a Vauxhall Caterham is available)

2. Super Race Car Trial. Continuing from the Intro. Car Trial, a further 7 Laps behind the pace car at increased speed if desired. (i.e. 17 LAPS IN TOTAL DURING YOUR DAY) Upgrade on the day £30.

3. Super PLUS Race Car Trial. A third lapping session, an extra 7 laps WITHOUT THE PACE CAR, at a rev limit of 5000 rpm. ( i.e. 24 LAPS TOTAL DURING YOUR DAY) An extra £60 on the day.! But prebook if poss.

You need to be over 17, and in possession of a current driving licence. Make sure you have flat shoes or trainers and a thin pair of driving gloves are helpful. Good Food available at the site at the Clubhouse. Warm clothes and waterproofs are a good idea as the track is open. Overalls are supplied
