BACK YET AGAIN, BY POPULAR DEMAND! A CHANCE TO TAKE YOUR FIRST WHEEL SPINS ON A MOTORBIKE.
This session is purely for beginners (or very nearly), both male and female, and offers a great opportunity to experience the excitement that riding a motorbike gives. You don't need to have any type of licence to take part, it's an ideal taster session to see if you enjoy it and perhaps then take it further. After registration you will be supplied with a helmet (you will need to bring your own gloves and wear appropriate clothing to keep warm) and then it's outside to the bikes where you will receive a briefing. Initially you will be riding an automatic bike to get the feel and your balance before moving on to a road bike with hears.
Everyone will be assessed as they progress and when you take your first ride, an instructor will be alongside to coach you and assist in case you get into any difficulties. In any case there will be no pressure to advance faster than the rate that you are comfortable with and you can, for instance, elect to stay on the automatic bike when others are moving on the geared bikes. During the session you will be riding on one of the tarmac courses and we will learn how to ride around bends, how to manoeuvre the machine and obviously how to start and stop! for those who progress fairly rapidly there may also be the opportunity to have a go on one of the Trials Bikes. By the end of the event you will be able to ride at least one of the machines if not all three!
Directions: From the M62 come off at Junct 27 and at the large roundabout follow the A650 (Wakefield/Morley) road and come to some traffic lights with the Angel pub on your left hand side. Turn right here following the A643 (Brighouse) road which crosses over the motorway and then drops down and just where it almost bottoms out look on your right hand side for the signs saying Howden Clough Industrial Estate. Turn in there and go down towards the large mill building and then turn right in front of it and go along where you will see Bumpy Ltd and motorbikes outside.
