Head for a some winter sun!
Forget about those long, cold
dark nights of winter in the UK and get away from it all on this winter
sun trip to Tunisia - with average daytime temperatures in March around
18 degrees what better way to recharge the batteries? Check out Sousse
and its old world Medina where colourful spices, carpets and copper
invite you to wheel and deal. You will love the wide, white sandy beach and trips over the water by glass-bottomed boat, powerboat rides and relaxing catamaran cruises. You can see what lies beneath on a scuba dive or keep your feet planted firmly on terra firma. Practice your golf swing, shimmy on a quad bike or on horseback, or sort out your back hand on the hotel’s own tennis courts. Souks & Kasbahs All this before you even step away from your resort! The historic town of Sousse is just a few miles to the south. This is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and a walk through its narrow medieval streets certainly takes you back in time. Brimming with bazaars, the walled city begs to be explored. Don’t miss the Great Mosque, the Ribat Fortress and the Kasbah with its collection of Roman mosaics. Tunis & Carthage From Port El Kantaoui, you can also travel north and visit Tunis. Founded by the Arabs, the city is layered with French colonial charm. Here, too, you’ll find a thriving Medina, alive with the sound of craftsmen hammering metal and leather, crowding narrow booths where you can pick up anything from perfumes to traditional felt chechia hats which worked their magic for Tommy Cooper. Other trails will take you to the ruins at Carthage; hub of Ancient Rome’s North African empire. You might explore the pretty blue and white village of Sidi Bou Said to sip green tea amid the crooked cobbles. And don’t miss El Jem’s giant amphitheatre, so large it once played host to 35,000 Roman fans! ![]() ACCOMMODATION
